Tom Brady officially dismissed the buzz that his wife Gisele Bündchen has a baby on the way yesterday, saying, “No. One is enough.” That’s not to say that Tom doesn’t enjoy daddy duty, though. The New England Patriots quarterback tells Sports Illustrated that he loves the time he gets to spend with his 21-month-old son Jack, whose mom is actress Bridget Moynahan.
“I don’t see him every day and we play when I change his diaper: lifting his leg up, playing with his toes, biting his feet. There’s this different appreciation. If you had him every day, you’d go, ‘Let’s just get this done.’ But when you get him, say, one week a month, you’re like, ‘This is so cool!’”
Having recently returned to the field after being sidelined by an injury, Tom, 31, says he hopes to play football for at least another 10 years, adding, “Why would I ever want to do anything else? It’s so hard to think of anything that would match what I do: Fly to the moon? Jump out of planes? Bungee-jump off cliffs? None of that s— matters to me. I really truly don’t consider myself to be a prude, or even conservative for that matter. Yet when it comes to nude photos of babies or children being publicly displayed I can’t help but cringe.
Levi Johnston, father of 5-month-old son Tripp with Bristol Palin, recently did an interview and photo shoot for the men’s magazine GQ. While I’m sure the interview is mildly interesting (all 17 pages of it) the first thing that jumped out at me is this photo of Levi and his son.
On the one hand it’s a father changing a diaper … but on the other it’s a completely full-frontal naked baby being pictured in a men’s magazine, as well as worldwide across the internet. Reminds me of the photo shoot Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ young daughters appeard very close to nude in.
I can’t help but wonder if this shot really needed to be published as part of the article and therefore spread about the world? Would a shot just two mintues later, with a diaper-on Tripp, not have given the same effect?

The Associated Press recently reported that Exodus, the four-year-old daughter of Mike Tyson, died after an accident on a treadmill machine.
The child was critically injured last weekend when she accidentally got tangled in a cord or rope hanging from a treadmill. Police are calling it a "tragic accident," according to the Los Angeles Times.
"Somehow she was playing on this treadmill, and there's a cord that hangs under the console—it's kind of a loop," the police said. "Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it."
While it's uncertain what happened, some treadmills feature a tethered safety key on a long cord that is meant to shut off the machine automatically if the user slips and falls. When used correctly, it also prevents children from starting the machine. But sometimes users tie the cord around the treadmill's handle to keep it out of the way.
Exercise machines such as treadmills pose special risks to toddlers and young children, who account for the greatest percentage of serious injuries. Emergency rooms around the country are reporting a growing number of severe burns on the hands and fingers of young children who reach down or under and touch a treadmill belt when it’s running.
Tyson's daughter's injuries serve as a sad and serious reminder of the dangers that home exercise equipment can pose to children. If you have any in your home, make sure the equipment is unplugged and out of a child's reach, and keep young children away from equipment without safety locks. Children should especially be kept away from exercise equipment when it is in use.

Bandit was born yesterday afternoon weighing 6lbs, 6oz. A rep for the pair reports that “Everyone is healthy and happy.” Maybe little Bandit will inherit her parents’ musical talents – not only is dad a singer, but mom Lyn Z is the bass player for the band Mindless Self Indulgence. Congratulations to the proud parents on their new arrival!

Besides being a dad to a chopstick kid, Tom Cruise is still a movie star. He’s finalizing a deal to team up with Cameron Diaz on a movie called Wichita. He will play the role of a secret agent who pops into the life of a single woman, not a far stretch from his other works such as the Mission Impossible sequels. Cruise’s career is still burning hot. Since Valkyrie, he has been courted by studio execs to make a thriller called Motorcade as well as other big projects. He and Cameron Diaz last starred together in Vanilla Sky, a movie which perplexed me but in a way still liked. Do you think Tom Cruise still has what it takes to sell movie tickets?

Now that Jon & Kate Plus 8 will be staying around on TLC, it’s safe to say cameras will probably follow Kate promoting her next book later this year. Kate has written a third book called Love Is in the Mix: Making Meals into Memories. It’s scheduled to be released on Oct, 13, 2009. The book will contain recipes and tips on eating organically. According to Amazon.com, Love Is in the Mix will have Kate giving advice on how to handle picky eaters and “how to feed a large family on a budget.” Photos of all eight kids will also be included. Kate and Jon were recently photographed by TMZ in separate places this week. Jon was spotted sipping beer with two women in Newburgh, New York on Memorial Day and Kate was seen with some of her kids in Bald Head Island, North Carolina on Wednesday. Mel Gibson finally confirmed the big news himself that he and his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva are expecting a baby, telling Jay Leno this week, “This is true. We’re gonna have a child.” “So that will make 29? ” Jay joked. “Well, actually eight,” the Lethal Weapon star replied, adding, “I guess I’m Octo-Mel!” Mel, 53, went on to talk about the breakup of his 28-year marriage to Robyn, with whom he has 7 children.

The public interest in Jon, Kate, and their family of eight children has exploded in recent weeks due to the couple’s marital issues. TLC, the channel that airs their reality show, is set to make the most of all the drama by ordering an impressive 40 more episdoes of the show!
A record 9.8 million viewers tuned into Monday night’s premiere episode…making it the best ratings ever for TLC, as well as the most watched show on any station. The order of 40 episodes is double what a typical season holds, and seems a way to extend the show even though this is rumored to be the last season.
In a statement TLC says, “The show’s ratings have grown consistently, as there has been interest in these real-life issues of this real-life family. We will continue to air as the interest continues, and the family wants to do it.”
Along with the new interest in the show I’ve noted murmurs of growing discontent with the children being all over television during such a difficult family time. You have to consider that one day in the future (whether their parents remain together or split) all eight children will view these episodes.

When it comes to explaining the birds and the bees to 6-year-old son James Wilkie, Sarah Jessica Parker admits she is a bit of a prude.
The actress, who is expecting twin girls via surrogate, says, “I just feel there’s a time and a place.” But on a recent cab ride her son inquired, “How does a man get the seed into the lady?” Sarah says, “I got so embarrassed.”
