News breaks this morning the neither Michael Jackson, nor Debbie Rowe are the biological parents of any of his three children. It was previously speculated that Debbie was the mother of 12-year-old Prince and 11-year-old Paris.

TMZ reports sources very close to Michael say a donor sperm and egg were used, fertilized, and then implanted in Debbie’s uterus. She was never intended to be the children’s mother, and was well compensated for her services as a surrogate.

Michael’s third child, Prince, was carried by another woman, who it seems didn’t know who the receiving parent of her child would be.

On the subject of custody of the older two TMZ reports, “Although Rowe is not the biological mother, it’s not a slam dunk that she would lose a custody battle. This type of case has never been litigated in California courts. Since Rowe was married to Jackson when Michael Jr. and Paris were born, there’s a presumption that she’s the biological parent. That presumption can be rebutted by other evidence.”

Where is Maury Povich when we need him? Surely this rivals any of the paternity battles splayed all over his show!
