Brooke Burke is PMHOGC!
Jul 30th, 2009 by Clint & Mindy

chickieHave you seen this chickie? Brooke Burke would love to know!

The 37-year-old mom of four took to her blog to make a desperate plea to find a replacement for her child’s lost lovey. Brooke writes:

I’m in desperate need…. If anyone has a child with an attachment item, then you KNOW what I mean when I say DESPERATE!!!

We have lost Chickie…..
The short of it is that Chickie is missing and I NEED another one.

PMHOGC! Short for (pulling my hair out, going crazy)

Brooke goes on to share the details of Chickie, and pleas for anyone’s help finding a replacement. Go here if you need to contact her!

What is your little one’s lovey? My older son has a Winne the Pooh bear, and my younger son has a small fuzzy square blanket I picked up at Old Navy a few years ago. I own back-ups for both!

Photos of the secret mother carrying Jude Law’s baby
Jul 30th, 2009 by Clint & Mindy

spx-025699So who is the mystery mama carrying Jude Law’s child?

It’s 24-year-old Samantha Burke! She is an actress and model and had the brief fling with the actor sometime last December. Check out her big baby bump here.

TMZ reports that Burke’s Babies ‘R Us registry reveal her due date as October 6. She is also expecting a girl and will name it Sophia.

Her attorneys released this statement.

“Ms. Burke can confirm that she did in fact have a relationship with Mr. Law and that she has informed Mr. Law that she is expecting his child later this fall. Since informing Mr. Law of the pregnancy, he has been nothing but responsive and supportive of Ms. Burke and the pregnancy.”

Glad to know we didn’t have to ponder for too long!

TLC talks about the future of J&K+8
Jul 30th, 2009 by Clint & Mindy

200px-jon__kate_plus_eight_logo_svgThanks to the near constant magazine coverage of Jon and Kate Gosselin, we know (perhaps too much) what is going on with their lives. One thing we haven’t known, is how Jon & Kate Plus 8 (the show) will go on.

TLC’s president, Eileen O’Neill released the following statement Thursday:

Over the last four years and through 100 episodes, we’ve captured this remarkable family’s entertaining chaos.

Viewers fell in love and the show developed a passionate, loyal following. But this past spring – life intervened and the family’s status changed. It was certainly something we never expected nor planned to have happen. But this has resulted in unprecedented television.

Our approach to the circumstance was simple: to cover the family with great care and thoughtfulness as they dealt with a subject that is all to familiar to many American families today.

Jon and Kate have never said they were perfect, which has made them relatable and created an undeniable connection with the viewers.

We will continue to capture this family’s journey in a respectful and sensitive way.

The show comes back on Monday and most new episodes remain a work in progress.

But I will tell you: the iconic couch is gone. Jon & Kate will now have separate chairs for their interviews.

You’re still going to see two parents that love their kids, but you’ll be seeing them parenting separately.

You’ll see what it’s like when Kate has to put a tent up for a backyard camping experience by herself. Or, see Jon trying to cook up a pizza for the kids.

As far as new people and places that may be cycling into Jon & Kate’s lives, we are taking it on a case-by-case basis.

This is real life. It’s important to remember that our cameras are only there for moments in time, and those moments have limits.”

I wonder if this means we’ll be seeing Jon’s girlfriend Hailey Glassman any time soon?

The 36-year-old Iron Man star showed off the results of her latest 3-week detox, which she raved about to her GOOP readers: “I feel pure and happy and much lighter (I dropped the extra pounds that I had gained during a majorly fun and delicious ‘relax and enjoy life phase’ about a month ago).”

But back to Gwyneth’s take on the little black dress: Are you loving her look?

Back to school tips for kids and parents
Jul 30th, 2009 by Clint & Mindy

Back to schoolSafe social networking. Online social networks can be great virtual gathering places for teens and tweens, but also pose some real risks. We enlisted Kathy Sena, Consumer Reports' social media reporter, for some tips to help keep your kids safe while they're texting, tweeting and tagging. Here are 8 tips to protect your child on social networks.

Best appliances for back to school. The "dorm-room refrigerator" moniker shows how closely compact refrigerators have become identified with college life, but only some of the models we tested made the grade. Only two refrigerators we tested had freezer sections that were able to keep frozen confections from turning to mush, and one model flunked basic refrigeration. Learn more about the best appliances for back-to-school.

Best wheels for teen drivers. When shopping for a car for that young driver, look for ones with advanced safety features such as electronic stability control and curtain airbags as well as good crash-test results. Learn more about the best cars for young drivers.

Learn more about backpacks, back to school clothes, and more in our Back-to-school Guide.
