I love Toni Collette. Love her acting (especially in The United States of Tara), and love that she is a fellow mom!
In a recent interview the 36-year-old actress talks about returning to work after having daughter Sage, now 18-months-old. Toni says:
Even though I was beyond exhausted – I was breastfeeding and had a little person living off my body – I was always excited to wake up and go to work. I never woke up at four o’clock and thought, ‘I don’t want to go,’ I truly adored going to work. Week after week I would just wait for the script to come because it always took me on a trip. I was like an addict with this story.
Toni doesn’t appear to have plans for more kids in the near future. She says, “I think about it. I am pretty happy with my one gorgeous little person at the moment. I am just enjoying her and enjoying this time.”
So sweet! Don’t you wish everyone’s return to work post-partum could go so easily? If you are a working mom, how did the transition go for you?

Now that Johnny Knoxville’s divorce is finalized, he’s going to have to cough up some dough. Knoxville, whose real name is Philip John Clapp, and his ex-wife Melanie were married for 12 years. They have a 13-year-old daughter named Madison and will share joint custody of her. Best known for being on the MTV show Jackass, he has agreed to pay $6,000 a month in child support. Melanie will get half of the residuals from the Jackass franchise as well as Dukes of Hazzard, a movie he starred in with Jessica Simpson. Via Press Association

Whoops! It appears that an expectant Ellen Pompeo had a wardrobe malfunction…or did she?
The mishap in question is pictured here. Ellen was photographed Monday on the set of Grey’s Anatomy, with her shirt blown up by the breeze, her white shorts unbottoned and unzipped, and her growing baby belly busting out!
Check out the picture and then tell us what you think. Was this a wardrobe malfunction, or is Ellen just trying to squeeze in a few more weeks before finally giving in to maternity clothes?
I’m thinking she should have done the rubber band trick at least. I can’t figure out how she got those undone shorts to stay up!

Tobey Maguire’s mom, Wendy, is going to have her own reality TV show. The show will be called Growing up Maguire and will also feature Tobey’s 15-year-old brother, Weston. According to the NY Post, cameras will follow Wendy’s life as a single mother and how she and the family cope with the downside of the entertainment industry. Having a former career as a secretary, she’s now a screenwriter and producer. I wonder if Tobey will show up with his children Otis and Ruby to spike up ratings? Via NY Post
Maybe it’s just because my husband and I have a little girl ourselves, but I am such a sucker for those heartfelt daddy-daughter moments. Lost star Josh Holloway chatted to OK! this week about the fact that he is completely head-over-heels for his 3-month-old daughter Java. “Every morning when I first get to see that little mean smile,” he says, “I’m like, ‘Oh my God!’ It makes my heart explode.” Though he plays something of a bad boy on the small screen, in reality Josh seems to be a man devoted to his family. “It’s just really that richness to my life,” he added. “It’s so rich and so difficult [laughs]. And I don’t really care how everything else goes now as long as I’m a good father.” Josh clearly seems to be loving fatherhood, but it was just a couple of years ago that the 40-year-old actor and his wife Yessica were saying they didn’t plan on having kids. There must be something in the water over at the Ugly Betty set! Just months after her co-stars Rebecca Romijn, Eric Mabius and Ana Ortiz welcomed new babies, actress Ashley Jensen, who plays seamstress Christina McKinney on the show, reveals that she too is expecting. Ashley’s managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps until now, but there was no hiding the evidence when she was spotted out earlier this month. Joel Madden, who is expecting his second baby with Nicole Richie, is writing a book. “I’m lightly working on one,” he told People recently, “but I don’t want to put a book out there if it’s not actually meaningful. I’m not going to go there unless I can deliver.” So what is this book going to be about? “It would be about my life,” the Good Charlotte front man says, “It would be about, mostly, the big changes in my life: Kids, relationships, moving to L.A…the big life changes that I’ve gone through.” He also insists he wants every page to mean something adding, “It has to be real, you can’t just put a book out, to put a book out.” With the second baby arriving soon all I want to know is how will he have time to put pen to paper? Gloria Allred said she was going to get involved in ‘Octomon’ Nadya Suleman’s family, and by golly, she has!
An Orange County judge has appointed a guardian to protect the financial interests of Gloria’s 14 children. Specifically the money they will be earning from taking part in the upcoming reality show about their family.
The suit was brought in part by Gloria Allred, as well as child-star turned activist Paul Petersen.
Nadya commented recently, “I have the right to decide what is in my family’s best interest without undue interference by Mr. Peterson.”
Filming for the show is said to begin September 1!

I love Tammy Lynn Ethridge’s blog. It’s so different than the sparse tweets most celebrities put out. Tammy’s posts are filled with poetry and emotion, that as a fellow mother I can relate to!
In her latest entry, Tammy writes in part:
motherhood is so much more- extends so far beyond anything i could have imagined- and there is no warning of the tsunami tides of emotions the ache to constantly shelter and protect and care for one by one they hurl themselves to the starting line ready to move to the next phase of it all: life ready, set, go motherhood is like bleeding rainbows and laughing in gold waves for me but so often the time sneaks by me no matter how i try to pull in the reins and i find my children bouncing with anticipation … i don’t feel ready and what i have realized is that life is not about being ready in fact it’s the opposite: life is not wearing helmets, not wearing watches not packing extra clothes not bringing a first aid kit life is all about not being ready, and how i handle it: that tells me who i am ready or not….
Kendra Wilkinson is making a few lifestyle changes now that she has a baby on the way. Case in point: Though the 24-year-old former Playboy model announced plans for her own line of stripper poles and workout tapes earlier this year, she now says she’s packing her own pole up… for now. “The stripper pole’s coming down now because of the baby,” she says. “Not forever, but for a while. It will be hung up in the closet.” Kendra and her new husband Hank are clearly thrilled to be expecting their first child, though she did admit to a few initial jitters at the thought of giving birth, saying last month, “I’m getting an epidural, everything they can give me. That’s the one thing I’m nervous about the most. Everything else is so fun, but I have visions of my vagina tearing, and that sucks.” I’d guess a lot of expectant moms share similar fears, though “that sucks” may be a bit of an understatement! In any case, the Girls Next Door star says she’s feeling better about the idea of labor and delivery now. “I thought I was scared, but I know the moment’s going to come where I’m like, ‘Oh my god.
