Event Description: eeling stagnant and in a rut, Shirley Bradshaw, ruminates on what became of her childhood dreams and the girl (Shirley Valentine) who dared to dream them. Now a middle-aged, working class, Liverpool housewife, Shirley regularly talks to the wall while preparing her husband’s tea. When Shirley’s friend invites her on a trip to Greece, she packs and heads off for a fortnight of rest and relaxation. What she finds in Greece is a reconnection to the Shirley Valentine of her youth and a realization of what her existence can be with just a little effort on her part.
"Shirley Valentine" is filled with wisdom, laughter and poignancy. The play is for mature audiences, (PG13) for language and adult themes.
Tickets are $25 and include food and wine.
