Shasta Gem and Mineral Society is a member of the California Federation of Mineralogical Societies Inc. and the Superior California Association.

SGMS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the knowledge of gem, minerals and the lapidary arts programs, through reading, classes and field-trips to perpetuate a deep friendship of fellow rockhounds.

MEETING INFORMATION:

BOARD MEETINGS are held on the next to the last Monday of each month.  Meetings are held in a members home, and the location is selected by members at the previous meeting and are open to all members.

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS are held at the Anderson Grange Hall (white building located on Figtree Lane at the south end of the Redding Municipal Airport’s main runway) on the 2nd Friday of each month.  The meetings start with a potluck dinner at 6:30pm followed by a meeting at approximately 7:30pm.

MEMBER DUES:

DUES are $15.00 per year (adults) and $8.00 per year for juniors (ages 16 and under) and this includes our monthly bulletin called the “Roc Toc”.  Life members pay no dues – the only have to pay $5.00 per year for the “Roc Toc”.
