Welcome to the Juniors Division Page

We hold official classes on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. Juniors range in age from 7 to 17. You may join at any time of the year because classes are adapted to the experience of each child. We have instructors that can teach on a one-on-one basis as well as groups. Materials are provided at no-cost to the juniors through donations and twice-yearly fund raising events. If you are interested in joining the Juniors Division or would like to stop by to see what the Juniors do at the workshop, contact our Junior Advisor, Rochelle Ohlson at 530.262.3102 or our Assistant Junior Advisor, Steve Sznyter at 530.241.2010. Shasta Gem and Minerals: Junior Division also runs a voluntary badging program sanctioned by the AFMS. These are easy projects that run hand-in-hand with the learning process of the Lapidary Arts.
